You can use twitter to find out about all kinds of other people all over the world who you can relate to and who may be able to help you. The purpose of our twitter is to connect with other people who are passionate about education and want to work towards improving it for the next generation. If you do not have a Twitter then you can follow the instructions below or take a look at the video under our twitter box and you will be tweeting in no time!!!

How to Twitter

 

1.    Go to www.twitter.com

2.    Click on the green box on the right that says “sign up now”

3.    Fill in all the boxes with the correct information

4.    It will then ask you for your password to your e-mail, this is so that twitter can go into your e-mail contacts and find out if any of them have twitter so you can follow them. If you would not like to do this then you can click the link that says “skip this step” located under the box labeled “continue”.

5.    Next it will bring you to a page that has a lot of popular people’s pages. If you would like to follow these people click the box labeled “finish”, if not then click the link labeled “skip this step”

6.    To get started you can search for your family and friends in the search box.

7.    If you would like to you can also search for people with the same interests as you. For example if you enjoy knitting then you can type “@knitting” in the search box and other people who like knitting will come up.

8.    There is also a box that says the words “What are you doing?” this box can be used to let all your followers know what you are doing. If you would like people with common interests to be able to find you then add a word that describes your interest with the “@” symbol directly in front of it, no spaces. For example if you enjoy swimming and you want other swimmers to find you and follow you then you might have a status like this “I can’t wit until the summer so I can get back in the pool again @swimming”. This way anyone who searches for @swimming will see your post.
